About Us
I started Saving Hustle because I kept having the same conversation over and over again, just with different people. A friend confused about why her credit score dropped after she paid off a loan. A cousin who didn’t know the difference between a Roth IRA and a regular savings account. A colleague who had a six figure income and somehow still felt like money was slipping through his fingers every month. Different situations, same root problem: nobody had ever explained personal finance to them in a way that actually made sense.
That’s the gap this site is meant to fill.
My background
I hold an MBA with a specialization in Accounting and Finance, and I’ve spent the past 8 years working as a Finance Advisor for multinational companies. In that time, I’ve sat across the table from executives planning corporate budgets, walked new employees through their first retirement contributions, and helped businesses make sense of cash flow, debt structuring, and financial forecasting.
What that experience taught me is something most personal finance content misses: the fundamentals that make a multimillion dollar company financially healthy are the exact same fundamentals that make an individual household financially healthy. Track what comes in and what goes out. Understand debt before you take it on. Build reserves before you need them. Make your money work through informed decisions, not guesswork. Companies pay advisors like me to explain these principles clearly. I wanted to bring that same clarity to everyday readers who don’t have access to a finance advisor of their own.
Why Saving Hustle exists
Personal finance content online tends to fall into one of two categories. It’s either written by people with no real financial background, repeating generic tips that sound good but don’t hold up under scrutiny, or it’s written by credentialed professionals in language so technical that the average reader gives up halfway through. Saving Hustle is my attempt to sit in the middle. Every article is grounded in real financial principles and written by someone who has actually worked in the field, but explained the way I’d explain it to a friend over coffee, not the way I’d present it in a boardroom.
What you'll find here
The site is organized around the financial decisions people deal with most often, broken into focused categories:
- Budgeting — building a budget that survives contact with real life, not just a spreadsheet you abandon after two weeks
- Saving Tips — practical, realistic ways to save consistently, even on a tight income
- Credit Score — understanding what actually affects your credit and how to build it responsibly
- Debt Management — clear, judgment free strategies for paying down debt and staying out of it
- Insurance — making sense of coverage decisions without the sales pitch
- Investing — beginner friendly explanations of how to start investing and grow wealth over time
- Retirement Planning — practical steps for building long term financial security, no matter when you start
- Side Income — realistic ways to build extra income streams beyond a primary paycheck
Every piece of content is written or reviewed with my own professional background in mind, and I update articles as financial products, rates, and best practices change over time.
My approach to accuracy and trust
I take the responsibility of publishing financial content seriously. A few principles guide everything published on this site:
- Every article is written from a place of genuine financial knowledge, not repurposed or copied from other sources
- I avoid absolute promises. Nobody can guarantee investment returns, debt-free timelines, or specific savings outcomes, and any article that claims otherwise should be treated with skepticism, including on other sites
- Content is reviewed and updated when financial regulations, interest rates, or best practices change
- I clearly distinguish between general education and personalized advice. Everything on Saving Hustle is intended to help you understand financial concepts and make more informed decisions. It is not a substitute for working with a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney who can review your specific financial situation
A quick, honest disclaimer
While my background is in finance and accounting, the content on Saving Hustle is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It should not be treated as personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Financial decisions depend heavily on individual circumstances, and I always encourage readers to consult a qualified professional before making major financial decisions specific to their situation.
